What we audit
- LCP (Largest Contentful Paint). Hero image strategy, font loading, render-blocking CSS, server response time, CDN configuration.
- INP (Interaction to Next Paint). Long tasks, JavaScript execution time, third-party script impact, main-thread blocking patterns. Replaced FID in March 2024 — if your last audit was before that, you’re measuring the wrong thing.
- CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift). Images without dimensions, web fonts swapping, late-loading ads, cookie banners, lazy-mounted components.
- TBT (Total Blocking Time). Synchronous third-party scripts, oversized bundles, unused JavaScript, premature hydration.
- Real-user data via CrUX. Lighthouse-lab scores lie. We pull the actual Chrome User Experience report for your site to see what real visitors experience.
- Server response. TTFB analysis — if your server takes 800ms to respond, no front-end fix will save you.
- Asset audit. Image format and compression, font subsetting, JavaScript bundle analysis, CSS dead-code analysis.
- Third-party tax. Every script, pixel, A/B-test tool, and chat widget gets measured for performance cost. We usually find 4–8 we’d cut.
What you get
A 15–25 page audit document covering everything above. Every issue is ranked: impact (high/medium/low), effort (S/M/L), expected metric improvement, and a recommended owner (dev, marketing, vendor). We include before/after benchmarks and a remediation roadmap that fits the budget you have, not the budget we’d love you to have.
If you want us to also implement the fixes, we do that as a follow-up sprint, fixed-fee. Most stores get to Lighthouse 90+ mobile within a 3-week implementation sprint.
