A Swiss CBD-cosmetics brand built for four languages and four legal jurisdictions out of the gate.
MA Switzerland sells CBD-infused cosmetics, premium skincare oils, herbal teas, pre-rolled joints, and cannabis flower — all manufactured in Switzerland. They're mid-expansion from Switzerland into Italy and Germany, with more EU markets queued. The site needed to handle Swiss multilingualism (DE / FR / IT / EN as first-class peers), category complexity (cosmetics + supplements + cannabis), and cross-border legality (each EU market has different cannabis rules).

Designing for premium Swiss restraint
In Figma we built the visual system around Swiss-precision typography and editorial restraint — think Aesop, not wellness-influencer Instagram. The category default (psychedelic gradients, leaf imagery, ALL CAPS) was the exact opposite of where this brand wanted to land. We treated CBD oil with the same visual reverence Aesop treats hand cream.

Shopify Markets handles jurisdiction-specific catalogs cleanly — cannabis flowers ship to Switzerland only; certain cosmetic SKUs are Italy-eligible but not Germany-eligible; CHF defaults for Switzerland with EUR for European markets. The marketing team can publish to any of four languages without engineering involvement. Multilingual content architecture treats every language as a first-class market, not as a translation afterthought.
